Parish clergy are available to conduct funerals and memorial services either in the parish church or at local crematoria or cemeteries. These are planned with the next of kin.

To make a booking for a funeral or memorial service please contact the Vicar.

During this difficult time of pandemic, many people are finding that, as a consequence of social restrictions, they are unable to attend the funeral of a family member, friend or neighbour.  To help anyone facing this painful crisis, the following reflections have been prepared by a vicar.  The simple liturgy can be followed at home, alone or with those with whom you share your home.  We hope it will help you to commemorate and remember the life of someone you have lost, even if you cannot attend their funeral service:  Funeral liturgy at home: a simple reflection at home on the day of a funeral you cannot attend.

We will be able to hold funeral services in our church from Monday 15th June 2020, subject to certain restrictions.  Mourners will be limited to close family members, members of the deceased’s household or, if none of these are able to attend, to close friends.  This is in addition to the priest, Funeral Director and funeral staff.  Social distancing and the 2-metre rule will apply.  Anyone showing symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) should not attend.  Mourners should follow advice on social distancing when travelling to and from the funeral gathering.  A limit will be placed on the number of people that can safely attend the service.  Please contact us to discuss the details.
